PRESIDENTS'MESSAGE

Topic: Tour of Cable Tech Facility and See How Different Cables are Made
Thanks to all our April speakers Mr. Phil Healey and Mr. Scott Dimlton of Drew Water Treatment Division, for their update on Water Treatment Advances and Technology. We would also like to thank them for their gifts for Door prizes.
This months' meeting will be held at Cable Tech located at 5765 Main Street, Stouffville (Hwy #47). You will find the map and info enclosed. Arrangements are being made for dinner at the Lions Pub & Restaurant located at 5917 Main Street (200 metres east of Cable Tech) near the Canadian Tire and across from A & P. Please let us know ASAP if you will be attending the dinner. Dinner will be from 6:00 pm-7:15 p.m. This will allow us 15 min. to attend Cable Tech.

BUYERS GUIDE:
If anyone has anymore ads that have been signed up on art work, please contact Ken Vanderputt at 416-296-2918. All ads have now been closed as of May 1, 2001. We have signed up to date 110 ads for this year's book. A special thanks to our Buyers' Guide Chairman Mr. Ken Vanderputt for all his efforts.

The Intercity Meeting was attended by President Bill Herridge and Recording Secretary Tris Scott. The Agenda included an open discussion on Association Web Pages, Membership Growth and Association Event Insurance. The Intercity Binder containing the minutes of the meeting is available for all members to view, if you would like a copy of the minutes, please let me know at 905-509-8272.
SOCIAL:
As mentioned, tickets are available for our Annual Dinner & Dance at $125.00/per couple. Please contact us ASAP for tickets at the phone numbers listed in last months newsletter or visit our website in the events section at www.tbmoa.org.

EDUCATION:
(ADR Training Education Seminar)
As we have mentioned in the past and spoken about ADR Training, we are pleased to offer the following training to all our members free of charge. Non members can attend for a cost of $75.00.
Our Education Seminar will be about Alternate Dispute Resolution Training (ADR) and will be on Conflict Resolution which is tailored to our Industry. This Seminar will be on Friday June 1, 2001 at the Coloney Hotel, 89 Chestnut Street, Toronto, Ont., Tel. 416-977-0707. This will be held in the St. George Room located on the 3rd floor. There will be a Continental Breakfast served from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. 9 a.m. to 12 noon will be ADR Training, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. lunched will be served followed by an afternoon break. The day will wrap up about 4- 4:30 p.m.
Please fax to us your attendance (including name, telephone and company). This is a Certificate Course and all certificates will be made up prior to the seminar and given to you upon completion. We hope members will attend as, we only have room for 40 members at this seminar. The Board of Directors are looking forward to seeing all members at this seminar.
