The January meeting was held @ the Imperial Buffet and guest speaker was Jiri Slopek of ECD - Energy and Environment Canada Ltd. outlined the virtues of Green building design and upgrades. The Greed Globes web site ( http://www.greenglobes.com/default.asp ) explains the Green Globes system, a building environmental design and management tool that delivers an online assessment protocol, rating system, and guidance for green building design, and operation and management. Thank you Jiri for your informative presentation. January Meeting Our February meeting welcomed Fred Stegmayer Account Manager- NALCO Canada Co. The topic was based on indoor air quality monitoring, air handling unit cleaning, and filtration upgrades to keep HVAC equipment operating efficiently. Fred was accompanied by Jim Newton MBA Filtration Products of 3M Canada. This advanced filter system can save operational time and money for the buildings bottom line. Fred demonstrated the durability of the filter by jumping on it during his demonstration. Nalcor's Coil-Flo HVAC coil cleaning program was also a topic of the presentation. Website February Meeting Gary Sweeney and Peter Andrew of CTM will be speaking on the aspects of humidification in commercial, industrial and institutional locations on March 11th. 2009.
